Antique Purple and Yellow Roses Farmhouse Style Creamer
Time isn't the main thing. It's the only thing. Miles Davis
Perhaps the sweetest of all the farmhouse style creamers, this antique charmer with its purple and yellow rose bouquets and its plump little belly has been a steadfast presence over the course of the last 100 years. Not shy of adventure, there's a lot of character that has been earned, built up, and now proudly boasted about over the past century when it comes to the visual aesthetic of this server, and the overall effect is quite arresting.
There is staining, crazing, flea bites, and one barely-there hairline crack that will most likely rule out someone's desire to want to continue to use this hundred-year-old creamer for its actual intended purpose, but that's no matter. This one has staying power and is just waiting for a new life about to begin.
Here in the Vintage Kitchen, we imagine it as a home for succulents or a vase for garden blooms or perhaps a place to reroot your basil or your mint. It also makes for just a lovely display piece to all on its own. You don't always get to see such signs of age in an antique creamer quite like this, so it's a little bit like a museum in that pretty, thoughtful awe-inspiring kind of way.
