Antique Miniature German Bisque Penny Doll with Articulated Arms
{HISTORY}
Smaller than a lime, bigger than a grape. Meet your next best little marvel of a petite pal in the kitchen!
This antique bisque penny doll measures just 2.5" inches tall and features articulated arms ready to hoist up that herb sprig, or carry that bundle of chives, or decorate the top of that delightful cake you just dreamed up. Any which way you look at her, she'll be a delight in your day.
Only marked on back with a 4/0, we suspect that this little gal was made in Germany sometime around the late 1800s. Meant originally as a play toy for the kiddos, nowadays we love this little lady as a display accessory in the kitchen.
She brings all the whimsy with her from centuries past and thanks to her moveable arms she offers lots of fun styling options in the decorating department. She may not be as functional in the kitchen as a stew pot or a serving plate but what she lacks in purpose she more than makes up for in creativity. And sometimes, that's exactly what you need in the kitchen to get those culinary ideas cooking.
