Antique Ivory Embroidered Table Linens - Napkins and Mats - Set of Five
{HISTORY}
Soft and drapey, this set of antique linens comes from the collection of an Italian-French family whose love of cooking and entertaining was ever-present across decades and dinner parties. A blend of two distinct nationalities steeped in culinary history meant that no item was ever overlooked when it came to setting a pretty table and extending the most sincere acts of gracious hospitality.
Niceties were everywhere.
In the vintage glassware that shimmered with a lacy etched design, in the antique porcelain plates, handpicked in Limoges, France, in the use of the family silver that had been passed down for generations, and in the careful keeping of these beautiful table linens - the final flourish that made mealtime moments memorable.
Embroidered with a simple diamond design and cutwork details, this scalloped set includes three square luncheon napkins and two rectangular mats. Ivory in color, they are made of the same design and the same material. The mats are only slightly larger than the napkins, so if you like to set a mismatch table they could easily double as napkins too.
The quality of antique linens has no comparison today. Although over 100 years old, these five are in such beautiful shape, fresh-faced and spot-free, yet they retain layers of old-world charm that add instant character to any table or tray display.
