Exquisite in their simplicity yet designed with the eye of an artist, this set of four antique porcelain soup bowls is an effortlessly elegant choice for any table.

Brushed with just a hint of gold at the tip of a swirled rim, these bowls carry so much style they look just as pretty sitting empty on a shelf as they do when filled to the brim with a tantalizing soup, salad or hearty stew. 

Made by Haviland & Co in Limoges, France between 1888-1896, they fit in well with a variety of mix-and-match antique and vintage dishware patterns as they float effortlessly between decades and help blend a variety of table aesthetics with the greatest of aplomb. That's the Haviland way.

We've written quite a bit about the talented Haviland family in both the shop here and on the blog here. As true masters of their trade, they've produced some of the most exquisite dishware designs the world has ever known. Even Claude Monet was impressed and inspired by their work.

These four may be over 130 years old, but they carry such a sense of timeless beauty, at first glance, you might think they were made yesterday. That type of age-defying appeal means they will never go out of style. Cheers to that and cheers to another 130 years more.

{CONDITION}

In beautiful antique condition. There are no chips, cracks or staining. The glaze is very shiny and the gold edge bright and shimmery on all dishes.  Please see photos.
