Antique Austrian Porcelain Dinner Plates with Green Swag Pattern by MZ Austria circa 1884-1909 - Set of Three
{HISTORY}
Celebrating festive occasions for over a century, this trio of antique porcelain dinner plates was made in Austria between 1884-1909. Featuring bright spring green swags tied up with bows, a pink rose garland, a delicate gold floral design, and a bronze-colored scalloped rim, there are so many visually interesting details when it comes to these pretty plates. Look closely and you'll even notice a thin decorative band of crimson color in the bronze scalloped area.
Made by the porcelain pottery of Moritz Zdekauer in Altrohlau, Austria - which eventually became part of Czechoslovakia after WWI, these plates capture not only a unique maker but also a unique time period in history just before the collapse of the Habsburg Empire.
With their interesting pattern arrangement and color palette, these plates transition beautifully between seasons, opening up a lot of styling possibilities throughout the year when it comes to table decoration. Colors include spring green, celadon, pale pink, bronze, gold and crimson.
