{HISTORY}

Finding a piece of vintage shelving is like finding a piece of passion. You put things on a shelf that you need, that you love, that you have a use for. They are workers in a functional way, but they are also holders of our fanciful favorites - objects, ideas, passions and frivolities. This vintage shelf is perfect for both fun and function.

Featuring two tiers and a punched out design around the top tier rim, this midcentury metal shelf is perfect for a host of kitchen tasks from gardening to kitchen organization, pantry storage to display. Lightweight but sturdy it makes a cozy nook for kitchen linens, garden pots, cookbooks, picture frames and any little assortment of collections that makes your space uniquely yours.

Re-painted several times over the past 60+ years, it is mostly mint green in color but also carries shades of off-white, rust and light grey in its chippy patina. You'll also notice from the photos that it is not entirely perfectly straight nor symmetrical which it gives it wonderful character and personality.

{CONDITION}

In strong and sturdy condition, this metal shelf contains lots of weathered details that give it a wonderful aged patina. There are rust marks, paint splatters, chippy paint sections and areas where numerous layers of paint are exposed. The bottom shelf has a very slight slant to it, but not enough of an incline that things sit precariously on the shelf. It mounts easily to wall requiring only two screws or nails. Since it is a lightweight shelf (weighing just under 3lbs) it is recommended that you include brackets underneath the bottom shelf for extra support if you wish to display anything heavier than a small flower pot.

Measures 15" inches (length) x 10" inches (height) x 9" inches (depth - bottom shelf). The top shelf has a depth of 5" inches.

While this shelf is so useful for many things, we especially love it as a plant stand since its open airy construction allows for lots of light and room to grow.
