{HISTORY}

Meet Happenstance. She's a hound dog from history. If we are being official, she'd be known as a foxhound, and traditionally, you would have seen her most often at home among the sporting set, hard at work with horses and hooves in countrysides of pastoral beauty. In that setting, she would have been on the hunt, in the hunt, for a fox or a rabbit or whatever her jodhpur-clad, top hat-wearing teammates wished to pursue.

But this Happenstance, our sweet Hap, as she likes to be called for short, prefers to wrangle in the china these days rather than the rabbits.  Hap is much more content to sit in the kitchen waiting and watching for you where it is warm and cozy no matter the time of year. She loves teacups and china cabinets and anything dainty and dutiful. She doesn't like the rain or the cold or the mucking about in wetlands waiting for things to be discovered.

Like all loyal, loveable pals, Hap is in search of her forever home. Her forever kitchen. Once there, she will sit and wait for you and watch over your recipes, your cooking adventures, your joie-de-vivre. Around since the 1950s, Hap does not take her loyalties lightly. She'll commiserate when all goes poorly and congratulate you when all goes well. She's Hap. She'll be your touchpoint in the morning over coffee and she'll be the holder of all your heart-felt secrets at night. Hound dogs are lovely that way. And Hap couldn't be couldn't happier about that.
