Add a little bit of the sailing spirit to your kitchen!

This vintage nautical ceramic tile trivet features the Flying Dutchman racing dinghy, first built in the Netherlands in the early 1950s. A champion racing style boat, the Flying Dutchman was also a class of distinction announcing winners of the Eastern Long Island Yachting Association Regatta held in the summer in 1965, and in which the Shelter Island Yacht Club participated. 

The 765 number on the boat's sail might suggest that this tile was an award from that event or perhaps a souvenir from the Regatta itself. Either way, it's a fun bit of nautical nostalgia that can be hung on the wall, propped on a shelf or used as a trivet for four-season cooking adventures.

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks spots or stains except one tiny, barely noticeable knick on the bottom right corner of the tile. Please see photos.
