{HISTORY}

Beautiful inside and out, this vintage glass pitcher was most likely handmade made in Turkey sometime between the 1970s and 1980s and then imported to America by Crystal Clear Industries. Based in New York, Crystal Clear had relationships with many different glass manufacturers around the globe during the 20th century, all of whom made unique handcrafted glass items for stylish home use. 

Containing all the gorgeous hallmarks of handblown glass including a slightly askew handle this pitcher even contains one small air bubble trapped in the glass below the final set of leaves on the floral sprig. 

Featuring a lovely color palette of marigold, sage, salmon, bright white and pale grey, this is the type of pitcher that looks pretty serving an assortment of different beverages from pink lemonade to orange juice, flavored fruit and vegetable waters to specialty iced teas like peppermint or hibiscus.  And then there's that celebratory pitcher of margaritas that all your pals love. 

Turkey is the largest European producer of glass. And although we can't trace this pitcher to a specific Turkish manufacturer, the country as a whole has long been known for its exemplary craftsmanship and artistry.

We just love the vintage floral transferware arrangement which looks reminiscent of vintage 1940s dishware patterns. Perfect for cottage kitchens and cheerful table settings.

In beautiful vintage condition. This pitcher contains no chips or cracks, The glass is very clear with no clouding and the floral transferware is crisp and bright with no rub marks or signs of wear.
