This vintage handstitched tablecloth is a true marvel in design. Featuring both embroidery and hemstitched drawnwork, the talent and time devoted to this piece is amazing. Containing 10 different sections of hand-embroidered daisy flowers with trailing leaves, this cotton cloth also includes three sections of drawnwork where individual threads were pulled away from the cloth in order to create gaps and holes for additional design. While looking over the intricate squares and the pretty flowers it is fun to imagine stories about the sewer. When did she make it? How long did it take and for what purpose?
