Vintage Embroidered Dinner Napkins with Pink Flowers - Set of Six
{HISTORY}
Never underestimate the power of a pretty dinner napkin. This set of six features embroidered flowers in one corner and a delightfully intricate lattice-style hemstitch in matching green thread around the edge.
Simple yet detailed, the flowers are two-toned in shades of salmon, coral, walnut, hawthorne and sage and were hand-stitched on delicate ivory fabric that is so thin and gauzy (like handkerchief material) they practically float with their light and airy construction.
Just the type of table accessory that matches hot and humid weather, maybe of tropical or sub-tropical environments, these napkins have a touch of the exotic like something that could have come from the British West Indies or the Caribbean. There may have been a garden party or two involved. There may or not have been palm trees and flowering hibiscus and delicate teacups lifted with gloved hands. Just like any enigmatic dinner guest, this set is fodder for all sorts of stories, true or imagined.
