Vintage Copper Watering Can

Regular price $86

Garden as though you will live forever. William Kent

{HISTORY}

Watering your plants never looked so stylish! Reminiscent of 1930s era design, this vintage all-copper watering can features a delicate snake like spout and an angled handle. So simple, yet sophisticated, this style of watering can is appreciated just as much for its sculptural attributes as it is for its functional use in the garden.

Petite in size, it is especially lovely for small space gardening and indoor plant care and for those fragile plants, flowers and seeds that prefer a delicate stream of water rather than a deluge. The long spout easily waters the center of the plant at soil level, making it much less messy than overhead watering.

There is no maker's mark on the bottom of the container, so we can only guess at its provenance. Most likely it was made for the European market sometime between the 1920's and the 1940's.
