{HISTORY}
The very first set of Pyrex mixing bowls debuted in the 1940's. It was a set of four nesting sizes that contained the primary colors yellow, red, green and blue. A popular and colorful kitchen set, these favorites remained favorites for the next thirty years, continuously in manufacture decade by decade. Alongside those originals, new Pyrex patterns in a wide variety of shapes and colors debuted every few years throughout the 20th century, making the world of vintage Pyrex collecting wonderfully colorful, festive and fun.
This 1 1/2 quart green mixing bowl was made between 1967-1972 for the Verde pattern which included a Mediterranean olive pattern on some pieces and an array of green hued dishware. Originally part of a three piece set that graduated in both size and color, this pretty bowl was the middle size of the set and sits somewhere on the shade scale between pale avocado and the color of pale dried green leaves in Autumn.
