{HISTORY}

Made in 1955 by America's most prolific dishware manufacturer, Homer Laughlin, these pink rose dinner plates in the Empire Green pattern may be 65 years old but they feel as fresh and modern as a summer bouquet. That's the beauty of Homer Laughlin. Based in Newell, West Virginia they designed thousands and thousands of dish patterns throughout the 20th century that were made to withstand the test of time and taste. 

This pair of two is a lovely nod to garden parties, outdoor dining, and all those festive warm weather mealtimes that capture the essence of summer and the beauty of the season. 

Both are stamped on the back with Homer Laughlin's official mark along with the mark of the distribution company - Century Service Corporation -  who hoisted these dishes into the retail world. With their gold edge and pretty green rim  (a shade that lies somewhere on the color scale between a muted teal and an earthy sea green), it's just the right shade of neutral to match a bevy of complementary colors.  Let the easy breezy summer dining season begin!

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition. No chips or cracks. A few light utensil marks on the center rose. The gold rim is complete (no rub marks) and very shiny.
