{HISTORY}

Often referred to as custard cups, ramekins, mini bakers or muffin cups these petite vintage kitchen dishes might be mini in size but they are mighty big helpers when it comes to the kitchen.

Made by the McKee Glass Company in the 1950s for their Glasbake line, these oven-to-table dishes served all sorts of utilitarian functions. Able to go from fridge to oven to table, they were ideal for individual serving proportions but also were handy for use as food prep bowls, snack tray cups, egg separating dishes, and food leftover storage containers too. 

With their ability to stack one inside another, they were space savers in the cupboard and helpful organizers in the pantry. They were cute presentation bowls at the table, handy snack holders during cocktail hour and impromptu vases for garden blooms and blossoms. Humble in shape and simple in composition they were, and still are. quite extraordinary in all the vast and varied ways they can be of service in the kitchen.

Clean and complimentary in their milk glass color palette, they fit in with all decades of dishware, making them eternally stylish no matter the day, decade or century.
