Let's call her Pumpkin...after her dark orange wing, beak and tail feathers.

This sweet little ceramic bird flew all the way from 1940s era Japan where she was made for the decorative arts industry.  A petite little shelf ornament, she's perched in a patch of fluffy grass dotted with orange flowers and a baby bird on her back.

Pumpkin may be small in size but she's big on personality and symbolism. A bird in the kitchen is often thought to represent good luck, positivity and hope - all welcome words for adventuresome cooking endeavors and positive vibes. 

That being said, we'd recommend placing Pumpkin on a kitchen windowsill or near your morning beverage area. Whether you're a coffee, tea, juice, or smoothie drinker, she'll help you start the day off in a wonderfully whimsical way.  Perhaps she could hang out with the cups or the coffee machine or the tea kettle. Perched there, she'll be the first thing you see in the morning and she'll remind you, like any good cheer guru, that joy awaits you at the start of each and every day.
