{HISTORY} 

This collection of mismatched vintage and antique china pieces features green, pink and white floral patterns that range in age from the early 1900's to the 1960's. Each piece contains a touch of shabby chic whether it be in the form of dark crazing lines, faint stains or in one case, small chips on the underside of the rim from years kept in a wall hanger. As Marilyn Monroe said, these flaws give this collection an added layer of beauty that time and history have authentically marked. 

{SPECIAL FEATURES}

- Collection includes the following pieces:

• One 10.5" inch Mikasa dinner plate in the Marseille Mediterrania pattern with a pink, green and brown floral rim made in Japan in 1969
• One 10" inch American Limoges China Co dinner plate in the Trillium White Glamour pattern with 22 K gold rim and large white petaled flower made in the USA in the 1960's
• One very rare 6.25" inch Paden City Pottery Plate square bread and butter plate in the solid green Minion pattern. Made in West Virginia in the 1950's.
• One 6" inch Pope-Gosser bread plate in the Jean pattern made in Ohio in the 1940's featuring pink, green and grey floral pattern.
• One 6' inch Thomas Sevres hand-painted porcelain plate made in Bavaria, Germany between 1908-1939 featuring green edging and a floral rose basket
• One 6.5" inch Fine China bread plate in the Florentine pattern made in Japan in the 1960s featuring grey and yellow floral trim

{CONDITION} 

As mentioned earlier - this grouping contains minor imperfections. The Mikasa plate bears three small stains in the center section. The American Limoges Glamour plate bears crazing marks with darkened staining as well as rub marks around the gold rim. The Pope - Gosser Plate bears light crazing marks. The Thomas plate bears a tiny factory-made pit mark in the rim on the front and some minor rub marks in the inner gold striping. The Paden City Pottery plate bears several small chips on the reverse side of the plate caused by display hooks from a wall hanger (these chips are not visible from the front of the plate and do not compromise the plate's constitution in any sense). The Fine China plate does not contain any flaws and is pristine in design and composition. 

{STYLE IDEA}

Great for food photography due to the aged layers of patina and the bright cheerful colors, this set is equally suited for spring and summery dishes like salads or pretty baked goods. It's feminine color palette also suits tea parties, bridal showers, garden soirees and ladies luncheons.
