{HISTORY}

From the well-renowned German porcelain company Weimar, first founded in 1790, comes this beautiful trio of antique celery dishes. Made between 1905 and 1933 in Weimar, Germany, these dishes feature topiary-style daisy bouquets tucked inside swags of green garland with gold stripes around the rim and decorative gold detailing at the handles.

So pretty for spring and summer entertaining, oblong dishes like this, while originally intended to serve celery and asparagus, now make wonderful holders for hors d'oeuvres and garnishes.

Homemade pickles, lemon and lime slices, olives, nuts, cheese logs, berries, dips, fresh herbs, homemade pesto... the list of pretty foods ideal for these pretty dishes goes on and on.

What we love best about them, apart from their really pretty pattern, is that there are three matching ones. It is a rarity to find multiple sets in this serving shape these days. Place them in the center of the table in one long straight line and you have the start of a serve-yourself buffet or inspiration for your next floral bouquet. Include them on beverage trays and they circulate around your next cocktail party serving up snacks with the greatest of ease. Tuck them in between potted plants, candles, or posey bouquets surrounded by mix-and-match dishware and see how uniquely fresh and creative each tablescape design can become time and time again.

Combining artistic designs and impeccable craftsmanship, Weimar porcelain has long been collected by members of royal families around the world. Considered one of the best porcelain manufacturers in Germany, it operated for over 300 years before ceasing manufacture in 2018.
