{HISTORY}

Hand-embroidered on soft yellow linen the color of semolina, this vintage tea towel features two ladies in the garden tiptoing among the flowers. Carrying their parasols, they each wear matching dresses of pink and blue as they meander through a field of flowers of pink, purple, yellow, and blue blooms.

Fringed at both the top and bottom, this vintage towel was beautifully embroidered with not a stitch out of place nor a thread gone awry. Colors include marigold, magenta, bubblegum pink, pale blue, windsor blue, violet and spring green. 

Measuring 20" inches x 14.5" inches, the linen material is soft and drapey but when ironed holds it shape well. Like all vintage embroidered linens, we'd like to say that this towel was stitched by Susan or Lori, Mary or Margarite - a loving gift made for a friend or a family member or for a useful purpose and place in the kitchen. But we are not afforded such storytelling in most vintage linens other than to say that this one came from a collector's vintage linen assembly in the sunny state of New Mexico. Your imagination takes it away from there.
