Vintage Hand-Embroidered Pink Flower Linen Cocktail Napkins - Set of Six
{HISTORY}
What happens when you combine bright white linen with pink and yellow thread? A garden blooms before your eyes (and your cocktail).
This set of six linen cocktail napkins features hand-embroidered blossoms in simple shades of ballet pink and dusty marigold.
Simple, classic, and ready for spring and summer celebrations, these six are just the right size for serving coffee, tea, cocktails, and hors d'oeuvres. You can never really over-estimate the power of a pretty napkin. Soft to the touch, elegant to the event, and friendly to the environment, a linen napkin sets the stage for a refined affair that outshines its paper equivalent any day.
This batch appears to have come right off the embroidery hoop. Blue chalk embroidery outlines still peek through some of the flower petals (something that traditionally disappears after the first wash) and the fabric still retains that crisp, strong linen composition, typical of fabric that hasn't been washed a zillion times.
The only flaw in this set are two pin-prick holes right in the center of each napkin. These were most likely caused by a straight pin holding them all together or a sales tag poked right through the center of the batch. These holes might close up after washing and be barely recognizable, but if you were of the embroidery sort yourself you could add a new flower or a few in that very spot and conceal the holes completely. Either way, these six are lovely whether left just as they are or further adorned.
