Vintage 1960s Green Floral Tone on Tone Upholstery Fabric - Brocade Damask-Style Fabric Remnant - 4 yards x 1 yard
So shiny and smooth, this vintage spring green upholstery fabric features tone-on-tone green roses in an elegant woven brocade damask style fabric. Mostly resembling the vibrant shade often called spring green, this fabric, in nature would best match the colors found in mint and sage plants in both light and dark variations.
Heavy, with a weight that gracefully drapes and also crisply folds, this fabric is the type that can be found on mid-century sofas, the interior fabric pockets and lining of vintage luggage, and cloth seat cushion fabric on dining room chairs.
Measuring 156" inches in length x 44" inches in width, it is a solid panel just over 4 yards x 1 yard of fabric with a bone-colored stripe along one edge. The roses are of medium size - each measuring 1.5" inches in length. They are placed in a repetitive fashion over the entire cloth.
This fabric reflects the light, and therefore changes shades throughout the day making it beautifully dynamic. Although we said up top that it mostly resembles sage and mint, in certain light it also takes on a cooler celadon shade. Under lamplight, it takes on a warmer pea-green shade. We photographed both light sources so taht you could get an idea of its everchanging appeal. The fabric itself is very soft and slippery smooth without any exposed threads.
A really beautiful and fun fabric piece just waiting for a crafty sewer's daydreamy ideas, we can't wait to hear about all the creativity this one will inspire.
