Tarnished to perfection, this antique and vintage set of mismatched napkin rings adds such an elegant touch to your table.

Unmarked as to maker, we can't specifically determine the age or manufacturer, but we estimate that they range in age between 90-140 years old, placing them firmly between the Victorian era and the Art Deco era.

While just two are an exact match of a pair, each one has its own unique character thanks to tarnish, time, and unique details. One napkin ring, the one that we suspect is the oldest of the batch, features the momgrammed name, Emily, written in script. Who could she be? A famous Emily, perhaps? Emily Dickininson, the poet. Emily Post, the etiquette expert. Or maybe even Emily Warren Roebling, the co-engineer of the Brooklyn Bridge. Maybe this Emily wasn't famous at all but instead a newborn baby gifted a napkin ring to honor her birth - a traditional Victorian present when welcoming a new life. Or maybe this Emily was an everyday entertainer - someone's sister, daughter, mother, friend, aunt, or grandmother who appreciated a beautiful monogram and a lovely table setting.  

Another napkin ring features a double stripe and a cross-hatch style pattern. The third ring, the tallest of the group, features etched leaves and flowers. And the remaining two, the twins, feature raised striping around the top and bottom edges. 

It's fun to imagine just how many dinner parties and holiday affairs this collection was a part of. From Victorian dinners to Jazz Age soirees and everything before and after, there is one thing for certain when it comes to these five. They are absolutely timeless in their style and effortless in their in charm. That's E for effortless.  And for Emily.

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage and antique condition, these napkin rings bear all the hallmarks of table accessories that have been a part of dynamic dinner parties for one hundred years or more with tarnish, light surface scratches, and a gorgeous aged aesthetic.

The Emily ring has two small cracks located on the front along the bottom rim directly below the name. These cracks are very small and can really only be seen with very close inspection. The double stripe crosshatch ring has the tiniest of nicks on the top rim of the ring. Please see the photo section for images of these two sets of flaws. Other than that, these five are in lovely antique/vintage shape. 

{SIZE}

The tallest napkin ring with the etched flowers and leaves measures 1.5" inches (height). The Emily ring measures just a smidge over 1" inch (height). The two matching twins measure 1" inch (height) and the double striped ring with crosshatch pattern measures just under 1"inch (height).  Each ring has a diameter of just over 1.5" inches. Altogether  this set weighs 4.6 oz.
