{HISTORY}

So bright and colorful, this vintage enamelware bowl features an airbrushed arrangement of artichokes and radishes (or possibly tomatoes) that wrap their way around the exterior of the bowl along with a matching red stripe around the rim.  

Modeled after colorful European enamelware and a 1930s color palette, back when cream and green enamelware combinations were most popular, we think this bowl may have been made later in the 20th century to reflect an earlier aesthetic. 

Unmarked as to maker or manufacturer,  we can't say specifically where or when this charmer was made, but it has been around for at least a few decades and is authentically aged with unique wear marks along the bottom of the interior and exterior. Some areas look as if the paint is chipping off on the red veggies, but that is part of the intentional design, fooling the eye into thinking that this bowl is older than it actually is. 

Unknown origins aside, this marvel is a rarity these days, ensuring unique, one-of-a-kind appeal.  Given its size, it could have originally been intended for use as a large mixing bowl, but nowadays, we'd be inclined to incorporate it into garden tasks or pantry organization for non-food storage items. 

Sized at 10.25" inches (diameter) x 5.5" inches (height), it's an ideal lightweight but durable tote for harvesting vegetables in the garden, collecting chicken eggs from the coop, or clipping flowers from the field. It also makes a unique container for indoor plants, a holder for pantry odds and ends,  a drink cooler for iced beverages, and a decorative display piece to liven up your kitchen.

A hard-to-find design in a dynamic color palette, this vibrant piece of vintage enamelware adds instant beauty to any space, no matter where you place it.

{CONDITION}

In beautiful vintage condition, this bowl is clean and bright and contains lots of unique character in the chippy patches at bottom on both the interior and exterior. The bowl sits flat on a surface but does contain small dimples here and there as well as some very light grey tarnishing (rub marks caused over time)  near the base of the artichokes.
