Antique Brown Floral Transferware Wash Basin Bowl with Rudebekia Flowers and Gold Sponge Painting
Here I am where I ought to be. Isak Dinesen, Out of Africa
{HISTORY}
Setting the scene for fall and winter when chocolate brown shades look mighty and majestic against snow-white landscapes, this antique wash basin bowl carries all the beauty of a seasonal garden wrapped up in twig and bark colors.
With a romantic spirit and rustic charm, this bowl features bouquets of rudbeckia flowers, feathery seed pods and gold sponge paint splattered around the rim. Decorated both inside and out, this big bowl looks pretty from all angles. Whether you are incorporating it into kitchen or table displays or putting it to work as a soaking tub for delicate laundry and linens or anything that needs a little extra care, this bowl is both beautiful and functional for a variety of purposes.
In gorgeous condition, the glaze is bright and shiny throughout with very crisp and clear floral designs. The gold sponge painting is reflective so it captures light in a shimmery, magical way and there's just enough authentic staining to give it a unique character and a naturally aged aesthetic.
