From the beautiful French city of Marseille, home of the famous bouillabaisse soup, comes this vintage travel souvenir postcard set featuring 10 sepia-printed scenes around town. Made for the travel trade and for tourists who wanted to send a note or two back home to family and friends, these bundled postcards were a great way to showcase the dynamic beauty of Marseilles.

Paperbound with jaunty font and secured by a single staple, each postcard is detachable making it suitable for framing or ephemera projects. There are no printed dates on the booklet nor the actual postcards but based on the automobiles these look to be street scenes taken in the 1930s. The electric trolly bus stopped operating in Marseilles in 1942, so we know this booklet was definitely made before then.

{CONDITION}

In gorgeous vintage condition, this set of postcards is tightly bound and contains no writings or markings of any kind. There is a faint smudge mark on the cover near the 10 Cartes Postales area and there is a reddish stain splotch on the back, but other than that this pack is in practically brand-new condition.
