Vintage Concrete Duckling Garden Statue by Henri Studio circa 1987
{HISTORY}
Meet Poca! She's a little duckling garden statue that was made by Henri Studio in 1987. Henri might sound like a French name but the company was actually founded by Italian immigrant, Eneri Prosperi in Chicago in the 1960s.
Specializing in cast concrete statues, fountains, birdbaths, and planters of old-world artistry and design, Eneri learned the skills of the trade in his hometown of Tuscany before coming to America. Once here in the States, he grew his business from humble beginnings in a basement workshop to eventually becoming a global leader in cast concrete garden decorations beloved by nature enthusiasts around the world.
Poca got her name because it means little in Italian. And that's exactly what this sweet, petitle bird is all about. A little bit of vintage whimsy that will add charm and character your garden, Poca looks forward to waddling around your tulip border, taking up residency underneath your roses or marveling at your magnificent marigolds. Give her a patch of pretty flowers and you've got a good friend for life.
For a long time, Poca was indoors acting as a doorstop, which she was totally fine with but all ducklings need their fresh air and greenspace every once in a while so she'd be more than happy to live outdoors again.
