Antique Primitive Brass Livestock Bells - Set of Three
{HISTORY}
Composing a little choral symphony unto themselves, this collection of three antique brass bells each contain their own character and unique sound.
The smallest one is a mid-range sound like that of a bell placed on the door at the entrance of a store. The mid-size bell has the clearest ring of the three like that of a traditional church bell. The largest bell has the deepest sound - a slow and low meditative ring reminiscent of ambling cows grazing in far-off fields.
Most likely, given their primitive nature and clunky clappers, these bells most likely hung from the necks of livestock or farm animals. Two feature braided wires for handles and all three contain an age-old patina.
Lovely for display, these tactile heirlooms are an auditory delight and a gorgeous addition to holiday wreaths, mantel styling and rustic displays. Fashion a hanger for them, and easily they turn into a lovely wind chime or a bell system for your own front door or garden gate.
