{HISTORY}

This vintage trio of 11" inch restaurant ware platters was made by Syracuse China in the late 1990s. Featuring their Cantina pattern in the beautiful color of sage, each platter features three concentric rings of wavy lines, a shiny glaze, and that signature hefty weight that all vintage restaurant ware is known for. 

Possibly a pattern created to rival the popular resurgence of similar Homer Laughlin Fiestaware, this Cantina pattern debuted in 1997 just in time for the Gourmet Products Show and the retail shelves at Macy's.  Available in four different colors - Saffron, Blueberry, Cayenne and Sage, it was an ideal color palette for mix-and-match possibilities as well as fresh bistro-style dining service and modern Mexican restaurant fare.

Similar to the color of Jadeitite, the sage shade of these platters is light, bright and so complimentary to a variety of foods and other vintage dishware patterns. Neutral enough for use year-round, this shade also offers lots of possibilities when it comes to serving seasonal favorites. True to its pattern name, we love these platters best for all those casual, passable plate dinners with friends and family - taco night, Tex Mex favorites and South of the border specialties. Slightly larger than dinner plates, this size is also ideal for big diner-style breakfasts and shareable snacks.

In absolutely gorgeous vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, spots or stains.  The glaze is shiny and bright.
