Vintage Floral Ceramic Cheese Board - Corona Pattern - Andrea by Sadek circa 1990s
For the love of fromage and pretty presentation, this ceramic cheese board was made in Japan in the late 1990s by Sadek. Splashing onto the collectors scene in the 1930s, Sadek has been a family-run business from the very beginning. Specializing in tableware, figurines, and assorted housewares, they are known for their high-quality standards and collaborations with ceramic artists and manufacturers all around the world.
This petite ceramic tray features Sadek's floral-fueled Corona pattern made up of pink, blue, and yellow blossoms on trailing vines with subtle raised embossing at each corner and around the curve at the top edge. Originally, it would have been accompanied by a matching knife and presented as a boxed set suitable for gift-giving, wedding presents, and thoughtful hostess gifts. The Corona pattern was quite extensive as far as dishware goes. It encompassed tableware, bakeware, and all sorts of serving accessories in so that you could outfit practically your whole kitchen with this colorful pattern.
We love that this cheese board offers the ability to hang on a wall, ready at a moment's notice to make a pretty event of a simple snack. Full of cottage charm with an antique aesthetic, it looks equally as lovely alongside wooden charcuterie boards or assorted vintage platters for interesting mix-and-match tablescapes. Whether you want to showcase one special cheese or another food item altogether, this tray will help set the scene for something delicious.
