{HISTORY}

So pretty for partying the year away, these vintage champagne coupe-style glasses have toasting a zillion happy moments for decades.    

Although unmarked, we suspect these were made in the 1950s-1960s era by Javit -  a family-run company that started in the 1940s and quickly rose to become the largest hand-cut and machine-cut glass retailer in the country.  Supplying many retail pieces for large department stores during the mid-20th century, Javit produced an exquisite array of patterns ranging from traditional leaves and florals to more stylistic designs like ships and geometric patterns. 

Simple, elegant, and always in style, this pair contains a leaf pattern that branches out around the bowl in two separate swags. This simple pattern makes them float through every season effortlessly, whether you are saying cheers to the spring season with sparkly pink champagne or serving up a peppermint cocktail at holiday time. There's always something festive about a little bubbly served in a pretty glass.

In beautiful vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks, the glass is clear,  and the botanical designs are beautifully executed.
