{HISTORY}

At first glance, you might see just an all-white pitcher, but take a closer look and you'll notice an intricate pattern of embossing that includes dots, Art Deco designs, trailing vines, and a series of swirls, swags, and flourishes aplenty. 

Lacy and elegant, this antique pitcher is bigger than a creamer but smaller than a milk jug. It has a bulbous belly, a scallop around the rim and the base, and a decorative handle. With the ability to hold 3 1/2 cups, it's a good-sized server for the table but also a lovely holder for flowers, flatware, and kitchen utensils too. 

Unmarked as to maker or manufacturer, we suspect this pitcher may have been made at a porcelain factory in Germany around the early 1900s as it is similar in design and detail to European porcelain of that era. It also looks beautiful with this antique serving bowl thanks to a similar aesthetic.

{CONDITION}

In lovely antique condition, this pitcher does not contain any chips, cracks, spots or staining with the exception of a small chip on the top flourish of the handle and an age -old surface chip the size of a poppy seed on the exterior near the handle. The chip on the handle is not very noticeable since it follows the line and shape of the flourish and it does not compromise the integrity of the handle in any way. There is a small black dot the size of a pencil point on the inside of the pitcher at the bottom which is a natural mark that appears sometimes in porcelain clay.  Both the interior and exterior of the pitcher are clean and bright.
