{HISTORY}

From the city that brought us Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman, Lena Olin, and Jenny Lind comes this beautiful antique dinner plate by Swedish maker Gustafsberg. Made in Stockholm between 1914-1940, it features the Hawthorn pattern, also known as Hagtorn in Swedish. A beauty of a floral arrangement, Hawthorn features a delicate design of pale pink and blue blossoms on leafy mulberry-colored branches highlighted by an embossed shoulder and scalloped edge. 

Featuring all the gorgeous hallmarks of Scandinavian decor - elegance, simplicity, and that wonderful combination of light and airy color palettes,  this plate is a lovely statement piece for decorating. Beautiful crazing marks evoke an aged aesthetic that adds instant and authentic history to any space.

• Stamped on back with pattern name and the impressed Gustafsberg mark dating to the 1910-1940 production period
• Colors include mulberry, ballet pink, pale blue-grey, celadon, light grey, avocado green and lemon yellow

{CONDITION}

In lovely antique condition, this dinner plate contains no cracks or chips. There are a few small stain marks on the back, along with some original light paint marks (also on the back) from when this plate was hand-decorated in the studio. Please see photos.
