VINTAGE & ANTIQUE COOKBOOKS
Great cooking favors the prepared hands. Jacques Pepin
Cookbooks range in age from antique (pre-1920s) to vintage (pre-2000) with a healthy dose falling around mid-century (1950s-1960s) when cooking and home-entertaining were at an all-time festive high. Because cookbooks are the prize and pride of most kitchens each comes with its own character. Here in the Vintage Kitchen, we like pencil notations and previous owner nameplates and any other added evidence that suggests a cook touched this book once or twice in the past. All condition issues are addressed accordingly in each listing. Please note their unique attributes before purchasing. That way when your new (but old) cookbook arrives you'll know exactly what to expect.
