In the early 1970's two foodies got together and wrote a cookbook. One was a theater actor, the other a writer, and they both lived in New York City, in tiny apartments with tiny kitchens.

Small space living has it challenges with many limitations, making it especially tricky when it comes to cooking. Limited counter space, small refrigerators, petite ovens, narrows cabinets and little-to-no prep area yield many obstacles that large size kitchens never negotiate.

Bob Reinhart and Dick Woods knew these struggles all too well, so they set about writing a cookbook for the millions of Americans who were just like them - apartment dwellers with tiny kitchens who loved to cook and entertain.

What could have been the end of their love affair with homemade food and festive dinner parties,turned out to ultimately become a playground for creativity and innovation, as these two New York City artists attempted to prepare simple, homemade, gourmet meals in their limited cook spaces.  Offering over 250 recipes designed with minimal prep, few ingredients and limited equipment, The Cramped Quarters Cookbook offers a plethora of homemade recipes designed for elegant entertaining. By embracing their space instead of fighting it, they scaled back on assuming everything was possible and created instead, realistic recipes that were easy to prepare, efficient to serve and most importantly thoroughly enjoyable.

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition. Dust jacket is chippy in some spots and has been repaired on the inside of the jacket with tape in two spots. The bok itself is in immaculate condition with a tight spine, bright pages and clean cover boards. There is one pencil notation on one recipe, otherwise the cookbook is free of marks, spots and stains.
