{HISTORY}

Ladies' Home Journal, the magazine, has been around in print form since the late 1800's when it started out as a newspaper supplement. Growing into magazine form, it eventually reached subscribership numbers in the millions and became a trusted resource for women on a variety of domestic issues. Their first cookbook, this cookbook, was printed in 1960 and contains over 700 pages of recipes, menu ideas, cooking information, kitchen design inspiration, equipment lists, presentation suggestions and etiquette advice.

Considered one of the classics of kitchen cookbooks along with Betty Crocker and Good Housekeeping, Ladies' Home Journal offered a one-stop place for home cooks that covered all culinary information for all meals of the day from breakfast, lunch and dinner to party planning, holiday meals and special dietary considerations, no matter what the size of your family, the shape of your kitchen or the budget you were working with. Within these pages is a little something for everyone.

{CONDITION}

Very clean condition with bright pages and a tight spine. The front endpaper has started to pull away from the spine at the top quarter of the page. some very mild staining to back cover board. Please see photos.
