{HISTORY}

If you are an admirer of boats and bubbles, chances are you will recognize the name Kriter. Founded in 1955 in the Champagne region of France, Kriter set out to offer affordable sparking wines that reflected the elegance of France's flavorful grapes without the hefty price tag of many European varietals. Shortly after, they also became sponsors in around-the-world sailing competitions that helped promote the brand and extend the idea of living a pleasurable and exciting life, no matter what you were celebrating. 

Kriter Brut de Brut didn't make its way to the US until 1967, but upon arrival, it was an instant success. Selling over a million bottles by 1970, it was the symbol of good taste, and savvy shopping. 

Simple and elegant, just like their selections of wine, this wooden box features Kriter Brut de Brut lettering on both sides, a solid bottom and secure flathead nail construction at the corners. 

Measuring 21" inches in length x 6.25" inches in width, it's a lovely size for all sorts of storage necessities. We especially love it as a garden tote for plants and vegetables, but it also makes a handy helper in the kitchen for storing dishware and equipment or for table centerpieces where a little extra joie de vivre is always en vogue.

{CONDITION}

In beautiful condition, this handmade box contains no chips or cracks. It is very clean inside and out and the structural integrity is very strong and secure. On one side, you'll notice the "E" in Kriter is wearing away a little bit but otherwise all the lettering is crisp and clear. Please see photos.
