Classic in all the best ways, with its two-handled carry system, heavy wooden lid, and handwoven split-oak basket this culinary adventurer fits a plethora of picnic materials from plates to glasses, flatware to full-sized wine bottles, foodstuff containers to blanket blankets and even a book or two. Whether you want to while away the day at the beach or the park, treat your sweetheart to an outdoor summer concert dinner date or paddle around the lake and watch the wildlife go by, this picnic basket will make sure your outing is ready for a delicious culinary experience.

On the inside of the lid, you'll find a threaded elastic ribbon suitable for holding flatware, or bar tools in place. This band also makes a great holder for specimens, candles or flower blossoms gathered along the way too. The lid, itself acts like a sturdy little tray table when closed - a convenient place to put your cocktails so that they don't tipple over in the grass or a sturdy surface to serve your picnic foods so that they don't get stepped on. 

Easy to store when not in use, this basket also doubles as a covered storage box or bin that's especially handy for organization or on-the-go items.  You just never know when an impromptu picnic calls.

{CONDITION}

In beautiful vintage condition. This basket is very well made. It contains strong, sturdy handles and a heavy lid which ensures that it won't flap open in the breeze. The hinges that join the lid to the basket are strong and secure. The elastic band on the inside of the lid is tight. The basketweave is tight and secure on all sides and free of spots and stains. There are two areas that are slightly splintered - one in the bottom corner and the other on the front. These are small and insignificant splinters and do not affect the overall composition or the use of the basket in any way. Please see photos.
