Just in time for gathering season, this antique shallow basket is just the helper you need to collect all your garden veggies, herbs, and flowers.

Lightweight, but strong and sturdy, this basket was handmade and retains all the unique, one-of-a-kind hallmarks of such an endeavor.  It measures 12.5" inches in diameter and weighs 4 oz, making it the perfect size for a variety of garden and kitchen chores.

Three pieces of wire are affixed to the side walls and are equally spaced around the basket, making it possible to hang it from the ceiling or underneath shelving or cupboards. 

Made of strong, thin strips of woven split oak, it can be difficult to determine the exact age of handmade baskets given their primitive nature, but this one has the lovely aged appearance of a basket that has been around for quite some time. 

Aside from garden gathering, we love antique baskets like this for use as fruit bowls on the counter, storage organizers in the pantry and collection bins for all sorts of household odds and ends.

{CONDITION}

In lovely antique condition, this basket is strong and sturdy. There is one small woven piece of split oak that has a broken slat on the side wall area. This broken slat measures 1/2 inch in length. It's a clean break and could be repaired with wood glue if you were so inclined. Due to its location, this does not affect the overall strength of the basket. Please see photo.
