Vintage Wheat Pattern Dessert Bowls - Fine China of Japan - Set of Six
Wheat is the symbol of abundance, life and fertility. And in this case, a little mystery as well...
{HISTORY}
Made by Fine China of Japan this vintage set of Wheat pattern dessert bowls appears to be either very rare or the only one of its pattern currently available! Makers of several other patterns in similar wheat colors and styles (Moon Wheat, Golden Wheat, Autumn Wheat, etc) Fine China of Japan labeled this pattern simply Wheat on the back along with their pottery mark FCJ and sent it out into the world to speak for itself.
With its garland of graceful grasses ringing the gold rim and decorating the center, it carries all the warmth you need to bolster your spirits through the autumn and winter months in its soft beige colors and repeating swags. With the ability to comfortably hold about half a cup of food, originally, these bowls were intended for fruit or dessert, but in our modern ways of eating they also make great vessels things like breakfast yogurt or vegetable sides, small salads or rice.
