Vintage Williamsburg Tea Towel - Magnolia and Dogwood Design - Linen
A thoughtful cup of tea brought to your bedside each morning means more to me than the huge bouquet of flowers bought once a year. Penny Jordan
{HISTORY}
If English romance novelist, Penny Jordan, was still alive today she'd be able to have her cup of tea and a huge floral bouquet all at once with this vintage Williamsburg tea towel. Featuring blooming dogwood tree branches, magnolia flowers, and a floating butterfly, this vintage linen contains all the beauty of bloom time in the South. From the Colonial Williamsburg botanical tea towel collection, this is a hard-to-find vintage pattern and is in fantastic, like new condition. At least one other design in their botanical series included pink cherry blossoms, which is another equally hard to find stunner.
Colonial Williamsburg is often the source of great inspiration when it comes to design aesthetic. Simple, elegant, classic shapes and patterns from the colonial era are preserved in the all the designs they reproduce. These details not only give us a clearer understanding of how our ancestors decorated their homes but also shows us what a constant source of inspiration the natural world was in their daily life.
