There is a lot to say about the big man and the big life that was Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959). It seems everywhere we turn here in the Vintage Kitchen someone has an idea or a perception or a philosophy to share about one of his iconic houses and what those houses meant personally. Even if you never lived in one or even saw one in real life, Frank Lloyd's influence over 20th-century architecture is intimately known. 

Here, in his autobiography, in his own words published first in 1932,  Frank Lloyd shares his world, his viewpoints and his experiences about how life and art worked for him from point A to point Z. This book is 620 pages long and contains no index for quick reference, which illustrates how Frank wanted you to experience the story. His story. As a whole. From beginning to end. There is no cheat sheet. No quick look-up to see what his thoughts were on Falling Water or the horrific murders at Taliesin or his multiple marriages. There is no quick reference to highlight his thoughts on color schemes or right angles or window designs. Here, in his autobiography, you sink into the world of Frank Lloyd Wright as he wanted to present it. Which is really the best way, right? From the man's mouth himself. From page one. From sentence one...
