Full of unique and unusual designs, we think there might be a favorite McCoy planter design for just about every gardener in the world.

This one, made between the 1940s-1960s, features a multi-tiered scalloped rim with vertical stripes - a design that is similar to a seashell or frothy ocean waves. All white in color, it has a low bowl shape - ideal for shallow-rooted plants like succulents or bulb gardens that require just a cup or two of soil or stones.

Made during the Nelson McCoy Pottery era, this one-tone color palette is a natural fit for just about any type of plant, as it looks great with greens of all shades and shapes, from soft and lacy to tall and spiky, and everything in between. An ideal vessel to keep gardeners gardening during the winter months, its year-round appeal and slight seashore vibe make gardening a pleasure indoors, no matter what the weather outdoors.

So pretty for a wide variety of green-leaved glories, we also love this particular planter as a holder for seashells, sea glass, and air plants.

{SPECIAL FEATURES}

Round shape with shallow bowl

Stamped on bottom with maker's mark

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition, this planter has definitely been home to a garden or two throughout its eight decades.
