It was a set of four nesting sizes that contained the primary colors yellow, red, green and blue. A popular and colorful kitchen set, these favorites remained favorites for the next thirty years, continuously in manufacture decade by decade. Alongside those originals, new Pyrex patterns in a wide variety of shapes and colors debuted every few years throughout the 20th century, making the world of vintage Pyrex collecting wonderfully colorful, festive and fun. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis 4 quart avocado green mixing bowl was made between 1967-1972 for the Verde pattern which included a Mediterranean olive floral pattern on some pieces along with an array of solid green-hued dishware in varying shades for a light to dark effect. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOriginally part of a four piece set that graduated in both size and color, this mixing bowl is the 404 four quart size - the largest of the set. Solid in color palette, this green is the darkest of the Verde color palette taht most closely resembles avocado green. Shiny nad smooth both inside and out, it contains no chips, cracks or fading. There are some light scratch marks as commonly found on Pyrex of this age. When the bowl is empty, the scratches are at their most noticeable - appearing as thin white lines from the reflection of the bowl's interior.  But when the bowl is full or nesting, these scratch marks all but disappear. A little tricky to photograph because the scratches don't show as well given the natural curve of the bowl, please see all photos.
