In addition to the lovely goose at center, this dish also contains a thin lime green exterior stripe just below the rim, and embossed stripes on two sides of the dish to provide a little extra grip in place of traditional handles. When not in service, it's also a lovely decor piece for wall or table display.

Soft grey in body color with orange feet, a pink beak, a dotted belly, and a white patch on their faces, Great White-Fronted Geese make a laughing sound when they call to each in-flight and are sociable birds preferring to live in big groups. Like most of the avian community, they mate for life and migrate in familial groupings, returning again and again to the same breeding and nesting grounds year after year. This close-knit relationship with their mates, off-spring, and fellow flock members make them ideal symbols of tradition, family and home.

{SPECIAL FEATURES}

Hard to find John James Audubon Goose pattern

Porcelain

Stamped on back with maker's mark and series information

{CONDITION}

In beautiful vintage condition, this casserole dish contains no chips, cracks, spots or staining. There are some light utensil marks at the center where the goose is which are more visible in the close-up photos than they are in real life. Barely noticeable when looking at the dish, even in the brightest of lights these utensil marks are so soft and feathery they practically disappear by blending into the patterns in the imagery. The porcelain is shiny and bright and the imagery of the goose is very clear and crisp.
