Designed in varying widths and numbers of concentric bands depending on maker, Sterling's version contained three stripes and a very narrow shoulder, giving it an elegant, streamlined style suitable for a wide variety of restaurants, from diners to race tracks, sporting clubs to luncheonettes, clubhouses to cafeterias.
