For the love of flowers and pretty presentation, this vintage ceramic cachepot jardiniere was made in Japan between the 1930s -1940s for import company Charles Sadek. Located in New Rochelle, NY, Charles Sadek emerged onto the collector's scene in the late 1930s and has remained a family-run business ever since. Specializing in tableware, figurines, and assorted housewares, they are known for their high-quality home decor pieces, collaborating with ceramic artists and manufacturers all around the world.
This gorgeous cachepot also known as a jardiniere or a plant holder, features a colorful bouquet of handpainted flowers on both the back and the front along with gold detailing and a decorative rim. Suited as a holder for potted plants or fresh flower bouquets, the squat shape also acts as as a decorative container for all sorts of possibilities.

{CONDITION}
In beautiful vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, or stains with the exception of very light staining on the inside rim due to previous plant storage. This of course cannot be seen when plant is placed inside the pot. The gold is shiny and bright around the top and bottom rim and handles. The handpainted florals on each side are crisp and clear and the glaze is very shiny throughout.
