{HISTORY}

Making high-quality cookware in Germany since the 1840s, Fissler Asta's enamelware dutch ovens are a beloved companion of the vintage kitchen. Well built, sturdy, and beautifully designed with colorful floral accents, each piece of cookware has its own unique personality. This one features pink, lavender, purple, and blue flowers  - a pretty pastel meadow that adorns the base and the top of the lid. Brass accents on the handles, lid knob, and rim add classic style and European charm. 

Back in the 1980s when this dutch oven was made, expensive cookware like Fissler Asta were quality investment pieces, meant to be helpers in the kitchen for decades, not just years. Like a cherished mixing bowl or an heirloom cookbook, many Fissler Asta's have been passed down through generations - a symbol of pride, love, and good cooking. 

This dutch oven, in particular, was kept with exceptional care and looks practically brand new. That's a testament to the craftsmanship of the Fissler brand and their exceptional commitment to quality and detail.

{CONDITION}

In amazing vintage condition. This dutch oven looks practically brand new. Very clean and well-taken care of. Its only signs of age are one small chip (1/8" inch in length) in the enamel on the exterior lid near the knob, and one tiny dent in the brass rim measuring 1/16" of an inch. Please see photos.

Measures 8.75" inches (width) handle to handle) x 6.5" inches height (base to top of lid knob) x 7" inches (diameter) and weighs just over 5lbs.
