First founded by the Vogt family in the 1840s, Emilie Tressemanes joined as a partner in the late 1880s until he retired in 1907.  The name was then changed to Porcelaine Gustave Vogt, and later the pottery was purchased by Raynaud Porcelain, which is still in business today.   \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs far as aesthetics go,  this one is a beauty and a great representative of elegant French style. A bit of wear around the gold trim on the lid, and two barely noticeable small scuff-style chips on the underside of each handle make this dish slightly flawed, but when it comes to antique dishware, these unique marks of time add character and authenticity that can never be replicated in any modern way. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith its pedestal base, which gives the whole dish a slight lift, we love this antique beauty best for serving and display purposes.
