{HISTORY}

Stunning from every angle, this set of six antique porcelain cups and saucers was made by Konigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur (also known as KPM for short) in Germany. With their elegant stripes, wavy rims and rococo style handles, these beauties represent the fine craftsmanship and exquisite detail that KPM has been known for since the 18th century when the pottery first began. 

A favorite dishware manufacturer of 1700s-era kings and emperors, KPM has been associated with royalty and luxury since day one. The attention to detail and design in this very hard-to-find set is truly lovely. Each saucer and cup contains handpainted green and gold stripes and wavy rims created by a very subtle embossed design that almost looks like a gathered fabric or a pin tuck. The cups feature unique rococo-style handles and handpainted gold dots. It is just the right amount of artistic embellishment to give this serving set character and artistic appeal while still remaining timelessly classic. 

{SPECIAL FEATURES}

- Matching set of six cups and six saucers

- All pieces are stamped on bottom with the KPM royal scepter and the orb with cross marks

- Colors include bright white, green apple and gold

{CONDITION}

In gorgeous antique condition. There are no chips, cracks or stains on any pieces with the exception of one cup that has the tiniest (less than 1/8" inch) chip on the inside rim at the top. Hardly noticeable, since it sits along the rim area that is painted gold, this chip is barely visible. Due to age, some of the gold has rubbed slightly in some areas on the rims of two cups and on the inner stripes on all saucers where the cups sit. Again, these are very, very minor and can only really be seen when scrutinized up close. Please see photos.

Each cup measures just a smidge over 3" inches (diameter) x 2.5" inches (height). Each saucer measures 5.5" inches (diameter). The entire set weighs 3.8lbs
