He's here! He's here! 

Traveling all the way from 1970s era Christmastime it's Santa, bedecked with presents and a big blue sack full of toys. Ready to turn on all the charm of a nostalgic holiday season, Santa radiates joy and cheer during the day and bright light at night making him a bundle of festivity for indoor or outdoor display. 

Standing 33" inches tall and made of lightweight plastic, this Santa is of the blow mold style made by Empire Plastics Corp in 1971. Originally outfitted with an electrical cord and an interior light bulb that made him glow at night, this Santa in the 1970s, could be found decorating front yards and porches bedecked with string lights and greenery and other festive decorations of the season. 

Just like Smokey the Bear, fire safety is a big concern for vintage Santa, so he's been modified just a bit to make sure he's all fun and no fire hazard. His original lighting components have been replaced with contemporary, brand-new LED strip lights that run along the length of the inside and are operated with a wireless remote control, thus eliminating the need for an electrical cord or additional power outlet.  

To set the mood of the moment, these LED lights allow Santa to shine in a rainbow of colors of your choosing including red, purple, yellow, blue, green, and white. Similar to Christmas tree light settings, Santa's light can blink at a slow or fast speed or remain steady for hours on end. That means wherever you choose to display him, either inside for your holiday party or outside on your front porch, Santa's glow will light up the night for the entire holiday season, power cord-free. 

If you'd like to display Santa outdoors, the only thing you'll need is some rocks, sand, or weights tucked inside the base to keep him from getting blown over in the wind. Indoors he rests securely on the floor and can be picked up and moved around easily.

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition. As expected with age, Santa has some very light fading on his hat and random minor scratches and/or authentic signs of wear befitting a 53-year-old outdoor decoration.  There are some chippy paint areas around his rosy cheeks and on the present he's holding in hand. He stands firmly on the ground and there are no broken areas or cracks. On the back, there are some spots of grey discoloration caused by staining on the interior and most likely due to weather-related incidents like mud and rain and leaves occurring across many seasons. These marks can't be seen from the front. 

The contemporary remote control that operates the internal LED strip lights is velcroed onto the removable panel on Santa's back and the LED lights are of the self-stick tape variety and can easily be removed if you'd like to change out the lighting components. Directions on how to operate both elements are included, but both are very simple to operate. 

As noted above, for fire safety precautions, Santa no longer contains his original electrical cord and lightbulb.
